What is the difference between Vella Go and Vella Perception?
Vella Go is a toolset of native applications for sensor management, including sensor diagnostics, sensor configuration, and point cloud visualization.
Vella Perception is Velodyne’s perception engine to build your custom perception stack for applications such as mobile robots, smart infrastructure, and more. Vella Perception includes fundamental tasks of lidar perception, including object detection, tracking, and classification; semantic segmentation; occupancy grid/free-space detection, lidar odometry, and more.

How will I access Vella software products and manage my account? Working with our team, customers will use Vella Portal, an online platform that makes it simple to access all the Vella software tools. Vella Portal is a one-stop shop where customers can manage their accounts, connect with customer support and access the Vella ecosystem, including Vella Go, Vella Go Premium, Vella Perception, and Vella Cloud Services. Can I use non-Velodyne lidar sensors with Vella Go?
No. Currently, Vella Go supports only Velodyne’s sensors.
