Velodyne Expands Presence in Aerial-Mapping Market

Improved price and performance are creating expanded opportunities for lidar sensors in high-performing mapping systems.

GIM International story discusses how Techmake Solutions, S.A., an IT consulting and technology development company headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, is including Velodyne lidar sensors in its mapping and surveying system that runs on Eagle X unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Eagle X system will be introduced this year in Mexico, Central America, and South America.
