Velodyne, Trunk.Tech Autonomous Trucking Partnership Highlighted in Media

Autonomous trucks offer great promise to the transportation industry. They can supplement labor gaps, save fuel costs and enhance logistics. Autonomous trucks can also improve safety and help reduce truck accident rates.

Brielle Jaekel wrote a story in Supply & Demand Chain Executive on Velodyne working with Trunk.Tech to accelerate the growth of driverless technology in logistics processes.

The article noted the companies are working “together to create products equipped with lidar that bring sophistication to high-speed transportation processes. This software creates high-quality object awareness and detection capabilities of unmanned heavy trucks.”
