Velodyne Lidar is recognized throughout the industry as having a strong senior executive team. That team was further enhanced with Matt Rekow being named Chief Technology Officer, following Anand Gopalan who was recently named the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Writing about the news in Silicon Valley Business Journal, Cromwell Schubarth noted Rekow “is credited with having a significant impact on development of several of the company’s new lidar products, as it broadens its focus on use of the laser sensor systems beyond autonomous vehicles.”
In its story on the announcement, Power Transmission Engineering quoted Velodyne CEO Anand Gopalan saying:
“Mathew is passionate about addressing customer needs and driving innovation in advanced, cost-effective lidar technology. He has been a powerful asset to Velodyne in developing game-changing lidar solutions that help our customers bring to market new products with greater autonomy and safety. Lidar News quoted Rekow in its article:
