Jan 19, 2022 | By Velodyne Lidar

Maintaining utility-scale solar sites is a very manual, costly process. Add in other issues like labor shortages, reliability issues and system damages, and you have a situation ripe for transformation.

In this video, Tim Matus , CEO at Renu Robotics, introduces viewers to Renubot, a fully autonomous, all-electric mower, which helps solar and energy facilities cut costs, time and carbon emissions. He explains Renubot is equipped with our Puck sensors for safe, efficient high-precision navigation and to avoid obstacles when conducting utility-scale vegetation management.

Renubot can typically save solar and energy facilities 30 to 50 percent versus their current costs. The system can save operators from having to oversee mowing crews. It can help them eliminate accidents and utilize optimum schedules, especially shifting to nighttime mowing. Customers can accomplish these benefits all while drastically cutting carbon emissions.

Watch Tim’s video to learn how Renubot is creating the future of off-road autonomous, carbon-free systems that will make life better for all of us. The video can be accessed here:
